4 Time World Series Champ Gullett Dies at 73

World Series Champ Don Gullett passed away on Wednesday at the age of 73. 


Gullett played for four straight World Series Champions in the 1970's. 


In 1975 and 1976 Gullett helped the Cincinnati Reds win back to back World Series' going 26-7 with a 2.68 ERA and 12 complete games over two seasons for the Big Red Machine. 


As a free agent he then signed with the New York Yankees and won back to back World Series' in 1977 and 1978. He went 18-6 with a 3.59 ERA over his two seasons there before retiring. 


For his career,  Gullett went 109-50 with a 3.11 ERA over nine seasons with the Reds and Yankees. He had 44 complete games,  14 shutouts  and 11 saves in 266 career games.  He capped off his career with 4 straight World Series Championships.
