2024 AL Rookie of the Year Award Announced

The Baseball Writers' Association of America announced its 2024 American League Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Award Winner.

Right-handed starter Luis Gil of the New York Yankees received 15 first place votes to win the award in the second closest finish in AL Rookie of the Year history.

Gil had a 15-7 record with a 3.50 ERA and 171 strikeouts (10.1 K's/9) in 151.2 innings over 29 starts..
